Depending on the cooling configuration, the XA Series offers a variable temperature range from 50K up to 650K. The XA Series is based on the successful VT concept offering beam deflection AFM/STM or ‘Needle Sensor’ AFM/STM at superior performance, quality and versatility. The sample stage is thermally compensated and thermally isolated from the SPM body to minimise thermal drift. The scanner remains at ambient temperature as the sample is heated or cooled.The proven Omicron eddy current damping allows high-resolution SPM even in non-ideal conditions. Every instrument is capable of high- performance STM and beam deflection AFM or Needle Sensor AFM.
With the integration of the new IVC H3 pre-amplifier, the VT AFM XA and VT STM XA have further rai
sed the performance and versatility benchmarks for ultra-high-vacuum (UHV) STM and AFM.
