This system has been developed for the specialized field of cryobiology where extremely accurate low temperature control is required. The BCS196 cryostage has been at the forefront of cryobiology for over 15 years.

By precisely controlling the rates of cooling and heating, ice crystal morphology can be intimately controlled and investigated.

The LNP95 liquid nitrogen cooling system  is used to enable the large range in cooling rates from 0.01 to 150°C/min. This highly efficient LN2 pump, using proprietary pumps and tubing, automatically controls pumping rate to ensure minimal LN2 is required and a consistent smooth cooling curve no matter which rate is selected.
